Description
This piano is a superb example of German art piano manufacturing. This is the K-169 5' 7" long traditional model. I bought this piano brand new in November 2005. Serial # 340.035. During the time I was in the process of buying it Mr. Nicholas W. Schimmel was in Salt Lake City and heard me playing the instrument. He was so pleased with the sound that he signed this piano for me that day. It was a great experience for me. Before buying this piano I auditioned a Steinway model B, Beckstein, and several other pianos. The quality of the sound and workmanship was superior to anything I have heard before. If you were to put this piano in a piano store display, it would be impossible to tell the difference between a this piano and a new one. It is in pristine condition. This piano has been tune every six months ( I have the receipts) and a complete regulation was performed last year buy one of the best technicians in the Salt Lake City area. The action is an experience that you have to live. The hammers do not even have any marks of use. The fact that it has Mr. Schimmel signature adds to the value of the piano. I am giving a few recitals next year outside of the U.S. and there is no other option for me than to sell it. I have more pictures and you are welcome to ask me any questions. Happy biding.
