~click any image for a larger view~ original 1938 D'Angelico Style B Archtop guitar If she's getting the diamond then you might be in line for the D'Angelico. Offering this original 1938 D'Angelico Style B Archtop guitar shown in these photos. It is a one-owner original made by the master himself back in 1938 and played professionally for decades thereafter. Couple of unrepaired with-the-grain top cracks and one on the back as well. Original pickguard imploded and there are a few screw holes in the heel area from the various locations of the guitar strap button. Owner's family tells how the owner decided once to have the repairs done but when he called the D'Angelico shop number he was informed that John had passed. John's apprentice, Jimmy D'Aquisto, offered to do the work but the owner was of the belief that only John should be allowed to touch it so it's remained unrepaired....a diamond in the rough. Shortly before I contacted the family, they disposed of the "shabby" original case and bought a new Gibson hard shell which is what it will be shipped in. Original owner bought this from John D'Angelico himself and his name appears in the John's log. Thanks for looking and I hope the sight of this fine vintage D'Angelico feeds your soul as it has mine. Hate to part with it but don't want to upset the delicate balance with the significantly gendered other so something's gotta go....I'm dropping the price to a mere $11,999. which, after fees and all, should be enough to ease the pain of separation..... Winner agrees to prepay, including actual Shipping costs, within 7 days of auction closing, please!. I do NOT accept credit cards and I do NOT ship to Indonesia. I am required by ebay to accept Paypal (fees are prohibitive so it is not my preferred method of payment). I do also accept all the good ol' payment methods we all used before the latest ebay revolution though ebay will not allow me to describe them... Good Luck.
