The following has been done to this piano over the last 8 months-The entire action (all moving parts) have been replaced. We used the best which is a German part called Renner.  Note, Hamburg Steinways use Renner parts, again they arethe best product on the market.All new dampers installed.The Hammers were replaced with Steinway hammers.The entire action was rebuilt by Bruce Zale, a well known local Steinway trained piano technician. Many hours of regulation went into this piano to give it that perfect feel.The original ivory and ebony keytops are present and have been cleaned and buffed.  Note, the ivorys are flawless !!About the belly, we use the best in the area for rebuilding.  Alexander Keylard & Sons rebuilt the interior of this piano.  They are 7th generations rebuilders and have the best reputation in the midwest.  The following work was done by them-The soundboard was shimmed and refinished with a new decal.The entire cast iron plate was reguilt.A new pinblock was installed with new pins and bass stringsAll of the nickel harware on the piano was replated.The entire piano was stripped and refinished in a 8 coat hand rubbed high gloss lacquer.I can truly say that all of the parts and the people that were involved in this restoration are the best of the best.The piano has an amazing vintage Steinway tone, I encourage a visit to try it our for yourself.The piano comes with a matching bench.We have sold many pianos and have delivered to places all over the world, references available upon request.I can arrange for a local or long distance move, please call for a quote.Illinois residents add 9.75% sales tax.TRADE INS WELCOMEContact Dan for further details. 1-847-858-9328 Place a Bid!
