The "2009 Vintage Guitar Price Guide" values this Mandolin @ $7,500. GRUHN GUITARS APRAISAL Reads: (George Gruhh personally inspected for this apraisal) "a Gibson model F-4 made in the year 1921. Serial number 66477. The pickguard is missing and it has a modern case, but the mandolin appears otherwise to be in good condition showing normal playing wear. It conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made with scroll body shape, carved spruce top with oval soundhole, well figured curly maple back and sides, mahogany neck with dark center lamination, 'The Gibson' and double flowerpot peghead inlay, 'The Gibson' embossed tailpiece cover, nickel plated metal hardware, white binding on the top and back edges of the body, red mahogany stain sunburst varnish finish, and adjustable bridge with ebony base and aluminum saddle".
