It was hard to find a good pre-CBS Jazz Bass when I bought this one at Leo's Music in Oakland, CA, in June of 1976. They had it behind the counter, not hanging-up, I remember upon asking.  I still have the original sales receipt. This was my main axe for about 20 years & I did alot of gigs with it. It has , perhaps, the fastest, perfectly-worn neck I have yet to play. All the body dings & wear were there when I first bought it, as I take better care of my instruments than this one shows.
