(pacific) Here we have an original  May '57 Fender Stratocaster guitar with original tweed case. This guitar has all early 57 appointments including nice rich sunburst finish, bakelite parts, and red lined tweed case with emblem still in place, thought by many to be the absolute best era for this model. This guitar also comes with the original bridge cover, tremolo arm, and polishing cloth. The neck is a medium soft "V" and is in excellant condition with original unworn fretwire and very little finger board wear. The original owner had the nut replaced and the pickup adjustment rubber but the original ones are in excellant condition and come with the guitar. All three pickups are strong and evenly balanced. the tone is very much like the earlier Eric Clapton tone on his 1st solo album. Outside of some belt buckle wear and the typical dings and light scratches  the body is very clean. Another nice detail is that both neck and body date are 5/57, best of both worlds being an investment grade guitar and also one of the nicest playing strats we've ever come across.
