Description     VINTAGE 1972 FENDER USA STRATOCASTER – NEAR NEW!!!     “SUPER CLEAN”   “INVESTMENT GRADE”   “CLOSET CLASSIC”       You are bidding on a Near New, Super Clean, Original USA Vintage 1972 Fender Stratocaster finished in a 3 Tone Sunburst with a 3 bolt Maple Neck, Skunk Stripe, Serial Number 370XXX.   This beautiful guitar is in excellent, near perfect condition considering it is 36 years old, and has been very well looked after, a great vintage guitar worth keeping as it is a Collectors/Investment Grade Instrument – A TRUE CLOSSET CLASSIC.   A guitar this good does not come around every day!!!   The body is 100% untouched, Original with NO routing or overspray and is in excellent condition with only a few light surface scratches and small dings mainly on the back, but very minimal. You can excuse these given the overall condition of the guitar which is near perfect. The paint retains a very high glossy appearance and by the looks of it, it has had very little wear and been hardly used.   The Volume and Tone Pots are dated 1972 and the pick ups are all matching Gray Bottoms, also dated 1972. The neck is dated May 1972 and is in excellent shape, the back retains all the gloss and is nice and smooth and plays beautifully.   The only issues to report are at one point a 5 way switch was installed, but now the original has been re-installed. There is a tiny hole that has been patched up on the front of the headstock as per the picture, and the back tremolo cavity has had the slightest of routing which cannot been seen at all unless you look really hard. None of these affect the playability and are purely cosmetic.    This guitar is one of the best and cleanest that I have seen for a while, you would not find a better example of this vintage anywhere.   If you are in the market for a vintage Stratocaster that is clean, near new and beautifully presented, then this is the one for you. It looks great, plays awesome with those vintage tones that simply sound amazing.    Also included is the Original Fender Case, untouched owners manual, registration and strap.
