It’s the real deal. He purchased it in 1937 and used it for many years playing mostly in the Big Band era. He was a professional musician who was a woodwind specialist. He played with Big Band greats such as Tommy Dorsey and most notably Paul Whiteman! He made such recordings as “Rhapsody in Blue” and “An American in Paris” with Paul Whiteman. This Haynes flute has been factory reconditioned throughout, including new pads.  It has not been used since the reconditioning.
