Description
VERY RARE! An accordionist's dream...a real collectible and excellent instrument. This is a Giulietti, 120 bass piano accordion manufactured in the 1950s. For those of you who know accordions, you'll know that Giuliettis are some of the best and most trusted accordions, and are becoming increasingly rare as the the Giulietti family recently shut down their production of some of the world's finest accordions. I'm a professional gigging accordionist. This has been my practice accordion for some time. Though I rarely played it. It's in almost perfect shape. Here are the details: - 120 bass, piano accordion. 5 reed selectors, 2 bass reed selectors - Bellows are perfect. Not a single hole, scratch, nor air leak. Feels like a brand new accordion. - Reeds are in flawless shape also. This accordion has a beautiful sound and is LOUD, as Giuliettis tend to be. Everything is in perfect tune. - Brand new bass strap installed, brand new back-pad installed, keyboard recently cleaned and leveled, and entire accordion went through a full, professional cleaning at the Accordion Apocalypse repair shop in San Francisco (08/30/08). - The grill has a very unique treble clef motif. Very aesthetically pleasing. - Body is in almost perfect shape. A couple of scratches and nicks, but nothing noticeable. The Giulietti crest is lost - though I bought it this way. One of the treble reed selectors buttons also is lost - though I bought it this way - and has been replaced with a non-matching button. If you're lucky enough to find the crest and the button, you can easily glue them back in their correct locations. - Original Giulietti case included - also in very good shape.
