' Description  This is a very special auction.  My brother is Executive Producer of VH1's Decades Rock Live, which was a live concert series that brought classic rock artists together with today's hot new artists.   On Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey, I took my once played 50th Anniversary Gibson Les Paul Custom (#12 of 50) to Atlantic City in the hopes of getting it signed by the artists performing for the taping of this "Decades" show.  This particular show was a tribute to the band Heart, with Ann and Nancy Wilson, who rocked the house that night.  Saluting Ann and Nancy and also performing that evening were Alice in Chains (including Jerry Cantrell), Dave Navarro, Gretchen Wilson, Carrie Underwood and Rufus Wainright.  It ws an incredible show, topped off by my brother managing to get my Les Paul in front of everyone, having all the artists sign it right before he conducted pre-show interviews.  The show originally aired on VH1 Classic on October 10, 2006.   I'm not only auctioning off the guitar, but as part of the package to round out the offering I'm also including the original Heart and Friends Decades Rock Live framed poster, with original artist signatures,  a photo that was taken of my brother with all of the artists together, and a DVD of the actual concert, including the pre-show interviews performed by my brother.  This is truly a one-of-a-kind package.  The only reason I'm selling it is because I'm an entreprenuer of a technology startup that I'm trying to get off the ground, haven't taken a paycheck in quite some time, and need to raise funds for my twin's Bar/Bat Mitzvah coming up this Sept. 20th.  It's a real sacrifice that I'm not happy about, but is necessary.  The guitar contains the original signatures of Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, Dave Navarro, Gretchen Wilson, Carrie Underwood, and the other various band members.Here are the details of the guitar:  It is a 2002 Gibson Custom Shop 50th Anniversary Les Paul Custom, #12 of only 50 made worldwide!  To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Gibson Les Paul Custom, Gibson's Custom Shop created an ultra-deluxe version of the legendary electric solidbody model, made with exquisite materials. Featuring figured tone woods and abalone pearl inlays, the 50th Anniversary Les Paul was produced in a limited run of 50 instruments. The 50th Anniversary Les Paul has a one-piece figured maple back and a two-piece curly koa top which is just exquisite. The three-piece neck has a strip of curly koa running between two pieces of curly maple.  It was purchased brand new by me at Rudy's Music Stop in NY (a famous NY dealer to the stars).  I only played it briefly once when I first purchased it for about 5 minutes, then it went back in its custom case, only to be brought out again when I brought it to the show for signing.  Since then, it's been on display behind glass in my studio in a humidity controlled environment.  The guitat is perfect, no blemishes whatsoever.  The fingerboard is Madagascar ebony and inlaid with abalone clouds and abalone side markers. The top, back and fingerboard are bordered with multi-ply binding. The finish is nitrocellulose lacquer in an antique natural shade that brings out the rich tone of the koa and maple. The hardware is 24k gold plated, and beautiful abalone inlays grace the fretboard and headstock.  The tuners are 24k gold, and the control knobs are made of african ebony.  Its Custom Shop case has a built in humidor and a black canvas cover that goes over the case, which includes the Custom Shop Logo stiched on.  It includes the original Gibson Certificate of Authenticity.  The guitar is simply a beautiful flawless work of art.  It listed for about $14k.  Good Luck!
