The system was configured for a 1970’s “split monitor” Neve console, so the 72 channels are comprised of 40 single faders, and 16 double faders which each house 2 “half width” faders making a total of 72 channels (see pics). The system also has 6 group faders and a stereo master fader. I’m not going to bother going into too much detail about the system in this description, as those who would be seriously looking for a system like this would either already own a GML system and want spares to expand/augment an existing system , or would be the owner of an older analog Trident, API, Neve (or other) that does not have moving fader automation. If you fall into either of those categories, well….you already kinda know what this is. The system was removed in working condition, and has several spare faders. The power supply was upgraded in approx 2002 and the system was well maintained by professionals (including the folks at GML before they moved to the East Coast) while it was in service. For those with the experience, (or those who are brave and technically inclined) this would be a great system. I say this because getting any technical support from the wonderful folks at GML would be extraordinarily difficult, as they no longer support these systems, so this is not a purchase for the faint of heart who have limited technical expertise. I have LOTS of pictures and will send them to those who are genuinely interested and simultaneously will answer questions with a much greater level of detail and specificity to those who pose them in an intelligent and relevant fashion. TRANSLATION= This was once a very expensive (over $120K) system that has value to those who truly know what it is and what is involved with installing and maintaining it, need spares for their existing GML system, or would like a less expensive alternative to a Martinsound Flying Faders system. With all due respect, all others need not waste my time or theirs. All of the cables and other bits to hook up this system (including the Mac and a Gefen monitor and ADB extender) except a computer monitor are included and once someone replaces a few IDE style ribbon connectors, the system should power back up and do its thing.
