Description
Up for auction is a 7 year old professional symphony model Conn 10DRS in excellent condition.  I purchased it brand new from a local dealer in Marietta, GA and have the original bill of sale.  It has a small-medium bore (.468”), key of F/Bb (reversible), Geyer-style wrap, 12" small-throat rose brass bell with screw rim, tapered rotors and bearings, detachable bell, rose brass finish with nickel silver and yellow brass slides, string linkage, and Geyer Wrap (makes it a much easier transition from the F to Bb side of the horn).  I had it annually and restrung once a year, and just had it serviced again and chem cleaned this past summer.    I also had an adjustable finger hook installed (still have the original hook in the case).    Included is the original factory hard flat case which was really never used (I had a Protec gig bag I used instead), and both the left and right hand leather hand guards custom made by Leather Specialties, Inc.   This has been an incredible horn for me, and has never failed to perform.  It is totally responsive in all ranges, and has a beautiful, warm sound thanks to the rose brass.  There are no dents and lacquer finish is intact.  No dents or finish wear even on the bell.  The only thing I can find cosmetically is 2 pencil point-sized dings on the 3rd valve slide (they are very hard to see, but I tried to get a macro view photo on it).  There also appears to be a barely detectable spot the size of a pencil eraser of the clearcoat lacquer flecked off the 1st valve slide, and a quarter-sized burnish mark on the bore branch where it rests on your lap when resting.  Maybe I’m being too picky by describing these, but I want to describe the horn as best I can- it’s really the only things that keep it from being brand new out of the box from the factory.  I would love to keep it, but I have too many instruments, and it’s a shame not to be played every day.  I have taken very good care of this horn!   Look on Conn-Selmer’s website for more detailed technical specifications.  Don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and I hope this horn finds a good home.  It’s listed all over the internet new for pretty much the same price- $4,099.  Get this one at a significant discount, in near new condition- you won’t find another used one at this price in this condition!  Buyer to pay $55 for professional packing, shipping, and insurance in the lower 48 U.S.  Be careful when bidding- buyer will pay all costs associated with shipping/sale/return in the event you wish to return it.  I will accept Paypal, or a certified check from a bank.  I will immediately ship upon verification of funds/clearance of payment.  I am an honest seller with a long history with Ebay (100% positive rating), and expect buyers to conduct themselves the same way.  Thanks for looking and have a Blessed Day!
