Description
Civil War Brass Bugle with garland. I came into this horn a few year back.Actually it is probably a trumpet because of the shape of the bell.It came with a note.It has a note with it that states:"In the personal effects of Lieut Thomas Abbott Kilgore sent home after his death & burial at Hilton Head S.C. in Civil War. Father of Ellen Kilgore Bryant Grandfather of Alice Bryant Hall. 8th Maine Regiment Co. C North Turner, Maine."The bugle is all brass with a dovetail seam 15 inches long with a bell diameter of 4 inches. The gralnd is slightly detached. It has numerous dents and plays in the key of F (on the high side)Please ask all questions NLT 12 hours before the auction closes. Bugle sold AS IS.Thanks for looking!!!
