Description This is a brand-spanking new Cannon 14 inch/8 or 10-lug die-cast Snare-side hoop, in brilliant chrome plating. It features a nice wide snare-gate to accommodate just about any throw-off system.   Cast hoop offer much more rigidity and ease of tuning than their far more common triple-flange cousins. Because of the extra mass, cast hoops also provide a much more focused sound, and enhanced attack. The down side is they rob a little resonance.    On top of everything else, cast hoops look really, really cool. They lend a very authoritative appearance to any drum.  Many 14 inch snare drums are 10 lug, but there are lots of 8 luggers out there, and I have those too; Please count yours before you buy.
