There is also some worn silver plating on the tuning slides from holding the instrument.   This tuba has a lovely dark tone and is a very agile instrument. Intonation is also very good. It has served me well for many years, but I no longer have a need for a professional-line CC tuba. I have used this instrument with great success in a variety of performances. It easily produces a large enough sound for any band or orchestra but is very much at home in a quintet or small ensemble. If you are looking for a great all-around instrument, then this is a great choice.   It will come with a used Alteri gig bag. I will also have it professionally cleaned inside and out so it comes to you with that "showroom finish." This has not happened at the time of the picture taking, but this instrument shines brilliantly when polished! I will use lots of packing material to ensure it stays in good condition during shipping.
