Description
Marius Didier and Paul Didier both were involved in the making of this violin. The inside is branded with Marius Didier name (the father) and then completed by his son Paul. Label reads: Paul Didier, Luthier, Medailles d'Or - Grand prix, No. 193 Rue du Faisan a Metz l'an 1947". Beautiful violin, nearly mint condition; full vibrant tone, even across all registers. One piece back measures 14 inches, figured maple along with ribs, neck and scroll. Front is close grained spruce. Purfling wonderfuly done. Fully lined. Scroll artfully done. Channels well planned and expertly carved. Fully set up and ready to play. Great violin for advanced student or as second violin for a working professional. Comes with appraisal from Brian Ward-Smith of West Country Violins, Ltd., Devon, England. Will ship within Continental U.S. only. No Exceptions. Will pack on older case, fully padded with bracing on both sides of bridge, strings slightly released, so that sound post remains in place. Prefer Paypal. Will accept cashiers check. Will inform winning bidder of shipping costs. Generally under $90 USD.
