White (1936) Vintage!*' Description King Silver Tone Cornet. #184637 (around 1936). Made by H.N. WHITE Cleveland, Ohio (The best Kings!) Says “Medium Bore” under the serial number.   This trumpet has been serviced by a professional repairman with over 40 years of professional experience. The slides have been serviced, are clean, and move in and out with ease. Also the instrument itself has been flushed. Seems like good compression; nice little pop when second small slide is removed. Little if any wiggle in the valves. The valves/pistons are clean (3rd slide has some discoloration towards the bottom). Valves move well; 2nd valve makes a little click sound when compressed.   As you can see some lacquer is missing; the silver bell has some discoloration and/or plating loss. This cornet was worked hard at one point! There is a little bend in the lead pipe, down from the mpc receiver.  Also, the back bow as been worked on in one spot; there is a slight indentation at the lower part here. But we have tested it and it plays ok as such; it plays well. No other dents; Bell is in great shape. No apparent resoldered parts. No patches of any kind. No red rot.  Comes in old case, maybe or maybe not original (alligator-like, but no King name), in only ok condition, with latches working. Vernon - vintage Cornet mouthpiece size 10.5C in used condition. This mouthpiece has dimensions of 27 throat, 0.63" cup and 0.37" depth. It is 2 and ¾” long. It does have some wear on it, but…the top lip and cup are very clean with no plating loss or big scratches, and it does fit well into your vintage and other cornet. The mouthpiece has been cleaned and sterilized. This item was the subject of Ebay Item number: 330291861728 (put on auction by me).
